Promiscuity

I have an article over at NewMusicBox today on musical accompaniments to the decline and fall of everything. If you've never read NewMusicBox, stop wasting your time with me and start patronizing them (in the good way) immediately! If you do read them, you can spend the rest of the day wondering how I got in there.

I thought your thing at NMB was great.

Thanks for the compliment, which I take the opportunity to return. (If you don't know Colin's writing, he's a frequent contibutor to NMB, where he tosses off succinct and intelligent posts seemingly at will.)

I'm from Illinois, and my wife is a UIUC grad, so every time I read you, I think of Champaign. Please tell me Lil' Porgy's is still in business.... (I'm guessing Babbitt's Books is still there—it would take them a decade just to pack that place up.)

Lil' Porgy's is indeed still around. Babbitt's Books I'm not familiar with; I've only lived here for a little over a year, and I don't get out much.
